Fort Macleod Riverbank Stabilization
Ironclad acted as Prime Contractor on the Fort Macleod 2013 Flood Mitigation project for the Town of Fort Macleod, providing general contracting and waterworks construction services. The project involved supplying over 20,000 tons of heavy rock riprap for 1,500 meters of riverbank armoring and significant instream work on the Oldman River.

- Divert and realign the main channel of the Oldman River in two locations within strict RAP periods.

- Challenges: This project was completed shortly after the 2013 Alberta Floods amid a severe shortage of heavy rock riprap. Ironclad had to source over 20,000 tons of riprap from multiple B.C. quarries to meet strict regulatory deadlines. Ironclad also leveraged its network to haul the material during a trucking subcontractor shortage.
